TESTIMONIALS…
A heartfelt Thank
you to all of Greenville
Indoor Rowing. You have all been wonderful and accepting of our
son, Drew. Our lives are much different than yours, yet you would
never know it with this group of wonderful people. And, for this we
are truly grateful. We are so very proud of Drew and Coach Lowell
and Coach Deb and of each of you. You focused on the ability not
the disability. Many thanks. Paul and Ann Palmer
I began indoor
rowing in February 2009. I am 58 years old and in reasonably good
health, but I was not getting proper exercise. I attended 3-4 classes
per week in the beginning, and now I try to get in 6 workouts a
week. My fitness level has greatly improved; I now have more
endurance than when I started and I have also started watching my
diet. The combination of watching my diet and rowing has helped me
shed 15 pounds and a dress size. I can honestly say that I feel
better than I have in a very long time.
On July 24,
2009 I rowed a total of l million meters. This was a big
achievement for me and I have set a goal of rowing my next million meters
in 6 months. This is the best exercise
routine that I have ever done, and we have so much fun in class
rowing. I highly recommend it to all.

I was looking for an
exercise program that was beneficial to my health, but also fun and
competitive at the same time. I found it in rowing with Greenville Indoor
Rowing! It has not only helped improve my health, loss of weight and
inches, but what I really enjoy is the competitive juices it brings out
attending the classes. I love it! --Bill Zuber
Indoor rowing is a great workout - it’s rigorous
and fun! After ACL knee surgery
25+ years ago, I wasn’t sure if my knee would hold up - but it
does, with no problem! Not only do I feel better, I look better -
I’ve lost most of my back fat and my arm and leg muscles are
stronger and firmer. It's fun to be a crew member and, last
but not least, Lowell
is an AWESOME coach!!!

I started rowing with Greenville Indoor
Rowing near the end of May, 2009. By February 2009, my weight
had ballooned to 224 pounds and I had high blood pressure issues. As of August, I have lost down to 210
pounds and am continuing to lose every week. This is with the rowing
and only moderate calorie reduction. My blood work, (last done in
August 2008- my physician actually wanted blood drawn every 6 months to
monitor my blood pressure situation, but
I was too afraid to have it done 6 months ago due to my weight), was
repeated July 2009. Total cholesterol had dropped from 225 to 142.
My LDL (“bad”) cholesterol dropped from 143 to 78! Triglycerides dropped from 135 to 89! All of my
blood work is now normal for the first time in over 10 years and I feel
great! My physician credits most of the improvement to regular aerobic exercise; the
rowing has allowed me to achieve that.
I truly appreciate the friendly, supportive and non-threatening
environment that Laura and Lowell have created at the
“Oarhouse”. The multilevel classes are fun and everyone is so
encouraging. Thank you so much. I look forward to the workouts and hope
to keep it up for a long time!

By the way,
yesterday, after rowing 13,000+ meters in the morning, I hit the road in
the afternoon on the bike. Did 25 miles. My legs felt
toasted...but my average speed was much, much higher than I
expected. Bottom
line? Rowing is a fantastic cross-training
tool for the bike. I'm convinced!
Thanks,

Had a great
visit with my doctor on Thursday the first after starting the Rowing
program with Greenville Indoor Rowing. He said I have lost 12
pounds and that my heart sounds as good as it has in the last ten years.
He changed my medicine for my type 2 diabetic condition to 1 pill per day
from 3 per day, which is great. He said that my blood pressure was better
and he removed one of the pills I was taking for this condition. I am
waiting for the Cholesterol numbers, as he said the HDL should be better
with the exercise program. Looking forward to the next visit to
be better than the last.

When I started indoor
rowing, I was a tight size 10.
After 3 months of rowing I was down to a size 4. I had surgery in
May and could not row for 12-14 weeks and went back up to a size 10.
Since rowing I have gotten back down to a loose size 6 lost more inches
than I can tell you, lost the back fat that a lot of women have and
flabby arms. I am 50 and can tell
you that since I started I have felt better than I have in years.
I love indoor rowing
so much that I bought a rower and row at home as well as in class.

“Body by Lowell”, that's
what I say to people when they ask me about my new physique! My
husband loves my new "tush." My niece asked if I had
had a "boob" job. A co-worker wanted to know if I had
lost weight. I just smile and tell them about Lowell Caylor
and Greenville
Indoor Rowing.
I have been
rowing since March and I feel better and look better than I did in
my forties! My cholesterol is 179 and my blood
pressure is generally 116/70. I have so much more energy
since I started rowing. I just turned 64 and I row three times a
week. I live in Laurens, so it's a 50 minute trip to come into
Greenville
at 9:30 on a Saturday
morning to row but it is worth it.
Row strong and
live long!

I
have lost weight, toned up, (a lot), and have lots more energy thanks to Greenville Indoor
Rowing. I had tried lots of
different exercise programs, (gym, at home workout videos, etc.), and my
muscles would always get sore or I would get bored and quit. At Greenville
Indoor Rowing, we work hard and Lowell
keeps us laughing! Rowena T.
